Bronze can be patinated in many colors, from black to green and brown. Much less known is the blue and white patina. The Ursus Areus is finely veined with shades of white, blue and black.

The pedestal is the ice floe over which Ursus runs and this has a darker patina to accentuate the fathomless depth of the Arctic sea.

Ursus Areus looks casually to the right, but continues in his search for food.
